    Bhutan! of all places – a nation in the Himalayas, years ago, was first to promote “Happiness” as a national goal. it’s nice to read this article about Somerville – not dissimilar to Lowell – and its efforts to measure ‘happiness”. What do you know – maybe next they will measure the success of their efforts to strengthen the happiness of their people. That it’s a role of government to do just that.
