Support Irish-American Heritage Archaeological Program
The past two summers, teams of archaeologists from Queen’s University in Belfast have traveled to Lowell to conduct a dig on the grounds of St. Patrick’s Church in partnership with UMass Lowell and St. Patrick’s Parish. The the excavations and related research have yielded much of interest about Lowell’s earliest Irish residents. To continue, however, this program needs the support of the community.
To do this, the Center for Irish Partnerships at UMass Lowell will host a fundraiser to benefit the Irish-American Heritage Archaeological Program. The event will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Hurley Residence, 100 Belmont Ave in Lowell. Tickets are $75 per person. Please RSVP to Victoria_Denoon@uml.edu.
