East Pawtucketville Neighborhood Group Meeting:
Monday, February 4, 2013 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm

Nancy Pitkin, Trustee of the Lowell Public Library, will talk about all the new, great services (online and traditional) that the library makes available for children, youth, and adults. Also, UMass Lowell, Lowell Police, and City Officials will provide updates on issues of interest to the neighborhood. All are invited.

The Lower Highlands Neighborhood Group
will hold their first meeting of 2013 on Wednesday January 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club on Middlesex Street. The group will be electing officers for the year, as well as hearing from Lowell Police Capt. William Taylor on crime issues, George Russell from the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments and Dr. Carol Shumway of the Merrimack River Watershed Council on storm water issues, Pollard Memorial Library trustee Nancy Pitkin on activities at and services offered through the library, and Rachel Chandler from the Lowell Backyard Chicken Group on the effort to legalize backyard chickens in Lowell.
