Talking ‘Mill Power’ @ Pollard Tonight, 7 pm

Tonight, I will be at the Pollard Memorial Library on Merrimack Street next to City Hall at 7 pm, talking about “Mill Power: The Origin and Impact of Lowell National Historical Park.” The format is brief remarks, a short reading, and then questions-and-answers.

“Mill Power” ($25) is available at the National Park Visitor Center, UMass Lowell River Hawk Shop at the new University Crossing, and American Textile History Museum. All sales earnings go the National Park Service.

The paperback, unfortunately, is not yet available online but you can get it in Lowell only. The hardcover makes a nice gift and is $45 with a special discount code if ordered directly from publisher. Discount code 4M14MLLPW. Phone orders at 800-462-6420 or online at rowman.com

And for another gift idea, remember Dick Howe’s “Legendary Locals of Lowell” at all fine book-selling venues, even Barnes & Noble with the other Arcadia Publishing books on local history.
