M. Dowd in NYT Says Don’t Repeat History With Jeb

This blog has History in the subtitle. Lowell history is always part of the larger narrative nationwide and in the world. We all know that, but sometimes it’s preferable to push aside the misery and chaos and stupidity from beyond the Merrimack Valley that shows up in our news feeds. Suddenly, it seems, another presidential election is upon us. A lot of familiar names are popping up. One has to assume the candidates are counting on the voters having no memory about what they’ve done or said and also about the people they surround themselves with in the emerging campaigns. I haven’t been on her bandwagon much in the past couple of years, but New York Times opinion writer Maureen Dowd nails John Ellis “Jeb” Bush to the wall this morning with a column reminding us about the Bush Family legacy. You can read her column here.
