Film Screening Tonight At MCC

Tonight at 7 pm, Middlesex Community College will hold a free screening of “The Killing Fields of Dr. Haing S. Ngor,” a documentary on one of the most well-known survivors of the Cambodian genocide, Dr. Haing Ngor, the principal character in the Academy Award winning film, The Killing Fields. The film will be shown in the assembly room of MCC’s Federal Building at 50 Kearney Square in Lowell. The event is part of the college’s Global Education International Film Series.

The Killing Fields of Dr. Haing S. Ngor” was produced, directed, written and edited by Sundance award winning filmmaker Arthur Dong. This is a film that should be seen by everyone in Lowell, both to better understand the global forces that brought many of our current residents to the city and to acknowledge the unresolved issues that continue to affect Cambodia and its people today.
