2012 CAMPAIGN DIARY
An on-going account of the 2012 campaign:
Saturday, February 25 – Attended the Democratic caucus in Dunstable. That wraps up the local Democratic committee caucuses within the Middlesex North Registry district. We had a representative at each of the ten.
Saturday, February 18 – Went to the Greater Lowell Area Democrats meeting at the Radison in Chelmsford. Next stop was the East End Club in Lowell for the Lowell Democratic City Committee caucus where 70 people were in attendance. Spent the afternoon on Merrimack Street in downtown Lowell. Not many people there but those who were (and who were registered voters) signed my nomination papers.
Thursday, February 16 – Busy night for signature gathering: Democratic caucuses in Chelmsford and Westford; baseball signups at Elks Club in Lowell; special city council meeting on violence in downtown at City Hall.
Saturday, February 11 – Signature gathering at area Democratic caucuses (Billerica, Carlisle, Dracut, Tewksbury, Tyngsborough and Wilmington) then on to Winterfest in downtown Lowell for more signatures.
Tuesday, February 7 – Nomination papers available (1000 certified signatures needed to appear on the ballot)
